Troy Deighton is Director of Blackchook Media and Consults for Yomconnect as their National Sales Manager which started in May 2016. Troy has previously worked in Media for Grant Broadcasters as General Manager of Hot91 and Zinc96 and was previously General Manager of Go Transit.

Troy has been a local of the Sunshine Coast for 43 years and brings a valuable skill set to the chamber including media strategy and implementation both mainstream and digital, leadership and management, sponsorships and can assist with many connections in the sunshine coast region.

Kris McCue, FAIM, is Managing Director of Stones Throw. For over 15 years Kris has worked across the private, public and community sectors in the areas of management, business and workforce development, labour market intervention, economic development, strategy and policy and stakeholder engagement and has qualifications in commerce and management.

Kris has held executive and board positions with private sector and not for profit organisations successfully developing and leading change management and business development and growth strategies. He held senior roles in the public sector in employment and Vocational Education and Training (VET) strategy, policy, regulation and investment in urban, regional and remote area contexts. Kris has successfully delivered consultancy projects for businesses, community organisations and all levels of government with a focus on community development, labour market intervention, economic development, human resources and workforce development projects and initiatives.

Trudi is currently facilitating process improvement and organisational change at the University of the Sunshine Coast having previously undertaken the role of Director, Finance and Business Performance for TAFE Queensland East Coast after moving to the Sunshine Coast from England around five years ago. Jennifer joined Ray White North Coast Central team as Marketing and Communications Manager, bringing more than twenty years’ experience marketing and communications. On relocating to the Sunshine Coast from Sydney in 2010, she started a three and half year tenure with Schultz Toomey O’Brien Lawyers where she was responsible for the management of branding, marketing, advertising, social media, communications, all events and public relations of the firm.

She went on to join Wishlist, delivering exceptional skills in marketing and highly developed expertise in project and event management. She was responsible for all aspects including branding, marketing and communications, public relations, fund raising and event management. Jennifer played an instrumental role in the rebranding of National Mutual to AXA a number of years ago and took the rebranding launch to advisers all across Australia in one of the biggest campaigns undertaken by the firm at the time.

Peppi has over 20 years experience as a communications and marketing professional working on projects ranging from large master planned communities and infrastructure projects through to SMEs and not for profit groups.

Peppi moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2001 working for Lensworth on the Kawana Waters master plan development as the communications and marketing manager. Josh Ryan

Josh is the Co-Founder of Maroochydore start-up iMend Phones, and holds director roles in numerous companies within Australasia with a primary focus on solutions utilizing ‘disruptive technology’.

New Zealand born, Josh relocated his family construction company to Sunshine Coast alongside his brother and parents in 1999. After completing his high schooling and school-based business traineeship with Reed Property Group in 2005, Josh gained another 2 years experience with Reeds as an Estimator working on a number of Maroochydore’s prominent residential towers (M1, Quadrant, Riva, Platinum).

Since 2007, Josh has been actively involved in ‘start-up’ networks locally, nationally & internationally. From these foundations, he has passionately driven innovation and worked to shift agenda on the Sunshine Coast. Josh strongly believes that businesses need to adapt with the technology available to them before it’s too late, no matter how big or small they are, stating “business isn’t the same as it was 10 years ago”.

Having practical experience in the project management, construction, estimating, real estate, B2C & B2B service sector, import/export, contextual reasoning and strategy, Josh is able to assist with introductions and guidance into entering the Sunshine Coast & Asia business markets.
