Can you tell us about your family?

Husband Andrew, two daughters – 18-year-old Ruby and Lily, who is 22 – and a beautiful three-year-old border collie called Bella.

Favourite location on the Sunshine Coast?

Mooloolaba Beach has always been a family favourite, even though anywhere on the Coast is amazing. We’re always finding new adventures and awesome spots.

Which local person inspires you?

So many inspiring people on the Coast. Tim Kelly, who heads up the Manufacturing Excellence Forum, is someone who goes above and beyond to advocate for industry and students in our region, collaborating and supporting all levels of business to build and grow on the Sunshine Coast so we don’t need to leave and can prosper right here with many opportunities. Roz White, from White’s IGA, is an inspirational leader in my mind, advocating for supporting local, and has given many opportunities to founders to thrive. Both these people are inspirational in their own right, bringing so much to the community with their passion to support. They pay it forward and encourage others to do the same.

Favourite local business?

All! But White’s IGA stores are the heart of supporting local business in the region.

Best thing about living on the Coast?

The people and businesses, and the fact we actually get to live in this amazing place near the ocean.

How long have you been a Chamber member?

Two years.

What’s the best thing about being a Chamber member?

All events I have been to have been very well organised and there’s new people to meet all the time. “Welcoming, supportive and collaborative” would be how I describe the vibe.

Favourite ChamberCast with the President and Pep?

The ChamberCast with Dr Leon Stensholm. He’s and absolute rock star making a huge impact.

Favourite Chamber event?

The Alexa Leary lunch.

How can the Sunshine Coast be improved?

Improved public transport.

What excites you about the future of our region?

Everywhere you turn, there are amazing people doing incredible things in business. The collaboration is next level, and all seem to be paying it forward to make this region the best it can be so we can all benefit. Love it!

Favourite holiday destination?

The Sunshine Coast. But travelling all around Australia would be amazing.
