Where do you live?

Buderim. It’s a beautiful pocket of the Sunshine Coast, close to everything but still with that village feel that reminds you why people fall in love with this region.

Tell us about your family?

Two fabulous daughters, aged 23 and 15, who keep life interesting and inspire me to keep growing and showing up as the best version of myself.

Favourite location on the Sunshine Coast?

It’s hard to go past gorgeous Cotton Tree. The mix of river, beach and parkland captures everything that makes the Coast lifestyle so special.

Which local person inspires you?

Beyond my girls inspiring me every day, I admire Simon Whittle OAM, from Buderim. Through his vision and contribution to the community, I’ve learned what it really means to “be in community”, not just living in one.

Favourite local business?

A shout-out to Alex Surf Club (for my sunrise sustenance) and The Booley (also Alex) for best breakfast. I’m also loving Cotton Tree Beach Bar. As a previous cafe owner, I have a deep appreciation for what it takes to run a hospitality business well.

Best thing about living on the Coast?

The balance. One moment you can have your toes in the sand with the world a million miles away: the next you’re in the foothills with nature or in the middle of a vibrant business community.

How long have you been a Chamber member?

About 12 months.

What’s the best thing about being a Chamber member?

Reigniting business community networks and discovering the incredible range of talented people and businesses across the Coast.

Favourite Chamber event?

The Mark Bouris Breakfast in 2025. The event had great insights, great energy and a fantastic turnout.

How can the Sunshine Coast be improved?

Public transport would be a game changer. Teenagers being able to get to school in under an hour for what should be a 5-10km trip would help many families.

What excites you about the future of the region?

The growth and development, creating more opportunities for people to build careers and businesses here, while hopefully preserving the magic of our coastline.

Favourite holiday destination?

Anywhere you don’t need a car. Last year, my 15-year-old and I spent a week on Bintan Island, just off Singapore and I didn’t wear shoes the whole time. Now that’s a holiday.
